Upon arrival in the gentle city of Whitehorse, you will be warmly greeted and transferred back to your hotel. After a welcoming check in, you may enjoy a soothing rest in your hotel or walk around the majestic town until your mystical Aurora viewing where the lights will astonish your eyes. Depart the hotel at approximately 9:30 PM for a short 15-minute drive and short walk among the bright stars to the cozy viewing cabin – returning at approximately 2:30 AM. This stunning tour includes an expert guide, masterly narration, transportation, beautiful colours, a hot drink and a snack.
Wake up to the warm sunrise in the morning in Whitehorse and embark on an exhilarating city tour. Enjoy a delicious lunch with your choice of restaurant. In the clear afternoon, you will enjoy the 3-hour sightseeing tour that takes you to the Tahini region near Whitehorse and view the dense forest surrounding the snow mountains. You will have a great opportunity to view and photograph nature’s wildlife in their natural habitat: Dall Sheep, Bighorn Sheep, Mountain Goat, Deer, Elk, Woodland Caribou, Wood Bison, Musk-OX and Moose may be seen, usually up close! Become immersed with nature on this thrill-seeking adventure. From the Preserve, it only takes a couple minutes to drive to the admirable Hot Springs. The Hot Springs offer a truly unique Northern experience that the residents enjoy. The Outdoor hot springs pool provides a warm sanctuary to relieve some stress amid the cold winter weather and is a must-do activity while visiting Whitehorse! (Only available Thursday through Sunday). You will be picked up again tonight for another masterful Aurora Viewing.
Today you will have the freedom and luxury to journey on your own in the dazzling city of Whitehorse. Activities that are available include a Dog Sledding mushing experience, or an adrenaline rushing snowmobiling adventure. The lodge will provide snacks and drinks to fill your appetite and replenish your energy. If you would like to, you may join another splendid Aurora Viewing at your own expense, or just rest at hotel for a comfortable warm night in bed.
In the morning, enjoy some free time buying special souvenirs on your own of your special memories. Afterwards, check out of the hotel and leave for the airport, ending this unforgettable Aurora trip.
