Evening departure from Vancouver on your own to the Vancouver Pacific Central Station, onboard VIA Rail, The Canadian, to Jasper National Park. Along the way, the train will pass through the Fraser Valley with rich orchards, farms and spectacular scenery. You will stay overnight in VIA Rail. (Touring class include dinner in the “Silver Blue dining car” and enjoy a sumptuous meal; if you choose Economy class, you are required to purchase meals on your own)
When you wake up in the morning, the train is crossing the Cariboo Mountain. Enjoy memorable vistas of mountains and forests; also do not miss the highest peak of the Rockies – Mt. Robson. At noon; the train will arrive in Jasper (arrival time around 16:00); then arrange your own hotel. (Fine-level and luxury level, including exquisite and delicious breakfast in an elegant dining car.) A free time to explore the beautiful Jasper.
Jasper National Park is a World Heritage Site and the Canadian Rockies’ largest national park. Today you will enjoy a scenic tour which includes visiting Maligne Canyon, Patricia Lake and Pyramid Lake. You will have an opportunity to catch a glimpse of some of the many creatures that call this mountain park home. The remainder of the day is free for you to explore more of Jasper. You can take the Jasper Tramway and board the summit of Whistler to have a hiking trip. Moreover, there are diverse outdoor activities for you to choose from, such as horseback riding, rock climbing, hiking, picnicking, or renting a jeep to explore the forest.
Today, travel along the Icefields Parkway, which is the most scenic highway in North America, to Lake Louise. You will be stunned by the steep mountains, glaciers with glowing blue, rushing waterfalls and crystal clear lake. A stop will be made at Athabasca Falls before arriving at the Columbia Icefield, where you will ride on an Ice Explorer. Afternoon, you will arrive in Louise Lake, which has the reputation of the Rocky Mountain Sapphire”. Overnight in Lake Louise.
Visit Yoho National Park, Takkakaw Falls, Emerald Lake and Spiral Tunnel. Afternoon, continue on to Banff National Park. Overnight in Banff.
In the morning, attend a “Discover Banff” tour. Take the Sulphur Mountain Gondola to reach the summit, overlook the beautiful Rocky Mountains and Banff . The remainder of the day is at your leisure. You have multiple choices, such as shopping in the town, playing golf, having a horse-riding trip, hiking, swimming or boating. You may go to the beauty spa center in Banff Springs Hotel and enjoy the massage services. Overnight in Banff.
Departure Banff to Calgary International Airport by bus; end of this wonderful trip.
